10/4/2023 0 Comments Kaleidoscope academy news![]() The magazine’s success, in large part, is due to the immense talent of the student body, and the hard work and dedication of the Kaleidoscope staff. They paired art, poetry, and prose with color and design to create a beautiful layout with creativity and style. The staff evaluated the submitted works employing scholastic criteria in order to select the pieces published in this year’s magazine. To achieve this, the magazine staff dedicated its time working to gather submissions of creative writing, such as poetry and prose artwork, such as paintings and photography, and other visual arts media created by the student body. This is Kaleidoscope’s ninth first-place win in a row. This year, we are once again proud to announce that Kaleidoscope earned The American Scholastic Press Association’s First Place Award. To make a full and colorful kaleidoscope takes all of us, contributing what each of us can. Now here’s the exciting news a handful of remarkably generous alumni, current families and individuals, excited about what we are trying to accomplish, have already helped us raise $1.4 million! That’s right, we have a tremendous start, being over 70% percent of the way there and need your help to reach our goal. To transform the Annex into The Kaleidoscope Center and to help build our scholarship endowment, we have set our fundraising goal at $2 million. Our journey together, like a kaleidoscope of butterflies, is “A Beautiful Vision.” The New School Montessori is beginning a capital campaign that will reach toward tomorrow in a way that celebrates and encourages an even more diverse and ever-changing community. Together their wings create shifting colors and patterns – a diverse and ever-changing community, reaching toward tomorrow. When a group of butterflies takes flight and begins a journey together, they are called a kaleidoscope.
